The Enron Archive Announces Release of Enron WebMail Application
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, December 15th, 2025

BUENOS AIRES - The Enron Archive, an unincorporated, non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and online accessibility of information pertaining to Enron Corp., has today released its newest project: the Enron WebMail application.
Enron WebMail enables users to browse, search, and access the publicly released Enron Email dataset, as disseminated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) during the investigations into Enron Corp. The application has been developed entirely anew, providing access to the emails, calendar events, and attachments contained within the dataset. The website replicates the aesthetic of Enron’s 2001 internet presence, utilizing the corresponding style for graphics, layout, and color schemes.
“I am delighted to be launching Enron WebMail today. This project holds considerable importance, as it grants individuals unrestricted access to the email dataset, comprehensively integrating emails, calendar entries, and attachments. Previously, this capability was unavailable, as all publicly accessible versions of the dataset featured only the email body, excluding attachments. This development now provides the complete contextual information”, said Facundo Pignanelli - President of the organization in a statement.
The project source code is publicly hosted on GitHub — a partial copy that omits attachments due to platform limitations — and the full dataset, including attachments, is available on HuggingFace. A live operational mirror of the complete project is also accessible at https://mail.enronarchive.org.
